Genting Says It’s Not Connected With Online Game Platform

Genting Group once again issued a warning regarding its fraudulent use of corporate images to promote its online gambling platform.

Casino operator Genting Malaysia Bhd said in a post on its corporate website that it “found fake news about unauthorized social media platforms and web links known to be linked to Genting Group regarding online games.”

Genting Malaysia, founded by the Lim Kok Thai family, operates the resort world Genting casino complex (pictured) in Malaysia.

“We would like to emphasize that Genting Bhd, Genting Malaysia Bhd, or Resorts World Genting is not in any way related to or related to these online gaming sites or posts, including mybet88, BP77 and other similar sites,” Genting Malaysia said in a statement.

Separately, Resort World Getting said in its own announcement that “advertisements or posts linking Resort World Getting to online games are fake news and misinformation.” Members of the public added that such incidents should be reported to the relevant authorities.

The announcement warned that Lim’s image and name, corporate logos and other materials, including the group’s Genting Rewards card, were used to fraudulently promote the online gambling platform. 경마

“Genting Malaysia has no connection with online gambling platforms or investment sites,” it said.

“These illegal sites are illegally and fraudulently using Genting’s intellectual property, logos and even pictures of our vice chairman to scam people into thinking Genting Malaysia has partnered with them,” it added. “There is no online gaming platform in Genting Malaysia.”

Genting Group said it could take legal action against people who violate the company’s identity and abuse brand use without permission.
