Figueroa wins second place in women’s singles at Shanghai Trophy

South Korean figure women’s singles skater Ganfan Lee (18-Sehwa Girls’ High School)

finished second in a competition leading up to the International Ice Skating Union

(ISU) Grand Prix Series for the 2023-2024 season.

Ganfan Lee

Earned a combined technical score of 60.35 and artistic score of 66.48 for a total of

126.83 points in the women’s single free skate at the Shanghai Trophy 2023 on

Thursday in Shanghai, China.

Combined with the 69.57 she earned in the short program the previous day, her total

score of 196.40 was good for second place behind USA’s Brady Tennell (199.80).

Competing in his third and sixth ISU Figure Senior Grand Prix events of the season, Lee

has been getting a feel for the sport by competing at lower levels than Grand Prix events.

She also placed second at the ISU Challenger Series Nepella Memorial last weekend.

Her performance left something to be desired. She looked shaky on most of her jumps.

The first task, a double axel-triple toe-loop combination jump, resulted in a quarter-

landing (jump rotation short at the 90-degree level), followed by a triple lutz-triple

toe-loop combination jump that was judged underrotated (jump rotation short by

more than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees).

The subsequent triple loop was downgraded (a jump with more than 180 degrees of

rotation), reducing the base score from 4.2 to 1.7 and losing 0.51 GOE points.

After continuing her performance with a flying change foot combination jump (Level

4) and a step sequence (Level 3), she was unable to stabilize in the second half of

her performance, which carries a 10% penalty.

The triple lutz-double toe-loop-double loop combination jump was judged as a quarter landing on all three jumps, and the triple flip was underrotated.

After completing the jumping task with only a double axel, Lee finished her performance with a flying camel spin (level 4), a correo sequence, and a change foot combination spin (level 4). 카지노사이트존
