‘Worst transfer in football history’ Neymar leaves after just seven games… “I think there’s a 60 percent chance he’ll move to his hometown team”

Neymar is set to leave Saudi Arabia after just seven games.

“Neymar’s love for Santos could lead to his return, according to one club official, as speculation intensifies over a possible move to Al-Hilal,” British outlet Goal.com reported on Nov. 11 (ET).

The Brazilian international hasn’t played since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus almost exactly a year ago with the Brazilian national team. It was a year later that Neymar finally returned to action in Al Hilal’s dramatic AFC Champions League win over Al Ain. The 32-year-old came on as a substitute in the 32nd minute of the 엔트리 파워사다리 second half.

Neymar has had a tough year since suffering a left knee injury. Neymar’s £80 million move from Paris Saint-Germain to Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023 has not gone according to plan. However, Neymar hoped his return match would be the start of something promising.

A tearful Neymar spoke to NR Sport’s YouTube channel about his journey back to full fitness, saying: “I felt a lot of pain and I knew at that moment that it was already serious. What I want most in life is to play soccer. I was in pain every day while I was off the field.”

However, Neymar has since suffered another injury, and now Al Hilal has reportedly lost patience with Neymar and will not register him for the second half of the season, paving the way for his departure in 2025.

Neymar may not be the player he was at his peak, but his hometown team, Santos, wants him. Neymar came through the academy and made a name for himself at Santos before moving to Barcelona in 2013.

Santos president Marcio Calves has addressed the rumors linking Neymar to Santos, directly addressing his desire to see the Brazilian fulfill his dream of returning to his old club.

Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Calves said: “There are no official negotiations with Neymar at the moment, but it’s every fan’s dream to see him return to our club. The relationship between Neymar and Santos is great. He started his career here and the possibility of his return depends on his desire and his performance at Al Hilal.”

He added: “I think there is a 60% chance that Neymar will join us when his contract with Al Hilal ends. Neymar loves Santos and is thinking about playing in the 2026 World Cup, so he can accept leaving the team.”

Neymar’s move to Al Hilal is arguably one of the worst transfers in soccer history. Neymar will be out of action for at least a month, and it’s now likely that he will leave the club after just seven appearances for Al Hilal.
