Ki Sung-yueng (34-FC Seoul) expressed his happiness after meeting his “idol” Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Ki watched the second leg of the Coupang Play Series between City and Atletico Madrid at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on March 30.

After the game, he met Guardiola and had a short conversation with him. In two photos posted by Ki on social media, Guardiola can be seen putting his hand on Ki’s left arm to encourage him.

“I’m sleeping tonight,” said Ki, who had the best day of his life with Guardiola.

“I hope to see him for longer in December,” he said, adding, “I’m looking forward to the best tactical games this season. Pep,” he wrote in a message of support.

Ki played in the English Premier League (EPL) between 2012 and 2020 for Swansea City, Sunderland and Newcastle United. He even played against Guardiola on the field when he took over at City in 2016.

Meanwhile, Man City lost 1-2 against Atletico Madrid, despite a last-minute goal by Javier Dias. After the game, 한국야동 City headed straight to Incheon International Airport, where they boarded a chartered flight to England.
