The Hanwha Eagles avenged the previous day’s loss with a blazing offense.
Hanwha won 8-4 against the LG Twins on Thursday at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul, South Korea. Hanwha and LG each had one win and one loss.
Hanwha, which started Ryu Hyun-jin on the mound the previous day (23rd) but failed to pick up a win, relied on a strong performance from foreign pitcher Felix Peña and a flurry of home runs from the bats.
Peña went 6⅔ innings, allowing two runs on six hits and four walks while striking out four and walking one.
Throwing 95 pitches in total, Peña used a mix of changeups, sliders, and two-seamers along with a fastball that topped out at 151 mph to keep the LG lineup in check.

After the game, Hanwha manager Choi Won-ho said, “Peraza showed good hitting, including a multi-homer game. Her fighting spirit gave us a big boost,” Choi said.
