The Korea completed all schedules for this competition with the women’s 400m medley relay preliminaries held at the Aspire Dome in Doha, Qatar, on the 18th.
Korea, which included Song Jae-yoon (17, Seoul Physical Education High School),

Korean swimming achieved the best performance ever in the long course (50m) World Championships held in an Olympic standard pool with two gold medals, one silver medal, and two bronze medals in this competition.
At the Short Course (25m) World Championships, Park Tae-hwan (34) alone won three gold medals at the 2016 Windsor/Ontario Games in Canada.
In this competition, Hwang Seon-woo and Kim Woo-min (22, Gangwon Provincial Office) won gold medals in the men’s 200m and 400m freestyle, respectively, achieving ‘multi-gold medals at the Long Course World Championships’ for the first time in Korean swimming history.
Hwang Sun-woo, Kim Woo-min, Lee Ho-jun (23, Jeju City Hall), Lee Yu-yeon (23, Goyang City Hall), and Yang Jae-hoon teamed up to win a silver medal in the men’s 800m relay, winning the first relay medal in the history of the World Championships.
In the diving event held prior to the management event, Kim Su-ji (25, Ulsan Metropolitan City Hall) won a bronze medal in the women’s 3m springboard, and then added a bronze medal in the mixed synchro 3m springboard in collaboration with Lee Jae-kyung (24, Incheon Metropolitan City Hall).
The Korean team, including Hwang Sun-woo and Kim Woo-min, are scheduled to return to Korea through Incheon International Airport on the afternoon of the 19th.
